Police have arrested a Brooklyn man in a deadly shooting outside a Canarsie subway station.
Dwayne Holmes, 23, faces charges of murder, assault and weapons possession. Some witnesses say Holmes got into an argument Wednesday around 4 p.m. at the L station on Glenwood Road and Rockaway Parkway over a MetroCard scam. That argument escalated into gunfire and 56-year-old Guyanese immigrant Toolsie Sukhu, of Queens, was caught in the crossfire on the street. Sukhu was shot in the back and was later pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
Police say a 20-year-old man was also shot in the arm and is listed in stable condition.
