A suspicious package at a Bronx church has been ruled a false alarm, but not before causing tense moments for some churchgoers.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel at East 187th Street and Hughs Avenue was evacuated while officials investigated an unattended suitcase, which the bomb squad quickly deemed harmless.
The pastor told News 12 The Bronx that the suitcase was left behind by a congregant and was only filled with CDs.
