As city leaders met Monday to try and come up with a solution to the up-tick in hate crimes, a disturbing discovery made in Bensonhurst.
A commuter discovered swastikas on the walls of the 20 Avenue subway station.
The commuter tweeted photos to the MTA of the hateful images on the northbound N train platform.?
The NYC Transit Subway account responded saying they'd have the incident investigated and the graffiti removed immediately.
A few hours later they responded with a photo of the hateful vandalism painted over.
The MTA told News 12 is a statement, "We have zero tolerance for hate and when there's offensive graffiti like this we report it to police for investigation and have it removed immediately. This was removed quickly today. We thank our customer who reported it and are sorry that anyone had to see it."
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
