A swatting incident prompted a large police response in Yonkers on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a caller falsely reported that someone had been shot inside a home on Ashburton Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and investigated the report.

Authorities later determined the call was a hoax.

Investigators are now working to identify the person responsible for making the false report.
