A Hartsdale husband and wife and their nanny have been charged in connection to the assault and kidnapping of a Queens woman.
Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace says 44-year-old Wayne Barnes, his wife Jasmine Barnes and their nanny Lizbeth Cerrato-Sanchez have all been indicted on multiple charges, including assault and criminal possession of a weapon, from a multi-jurisdictional incident that took place May 16.
According to DA Cacace, Barnes, owner of Sons of Ink Tattoo Parlor, offered a 19-year-old female employee a ride home.
The DA says Barnes was romantically involved with the victim.
On the way to the victim's home in Queens, Barnes and the female allegedly had a, "heated argument...at which time he forced her out of the car along the Grand Central Parkway in Queens," said DA Cacace in a statement
Barnes is then said to have struck the victim numerous times with an expandable metal baton.
Prosecutors then say Barnes turned around and picked up his wife, Jasmine, in the Bronx. They say she was armed with another metal baton.
The couple then allegedly dragged the victim into their home, where prosecutors say the couple and nanny attacked the victim before allowing the teen to leave.
Wayne Barnes was charged with kidnapping, criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
He was released on $300,00 bond.
His wife, Jasmine Barnes, was charged with kidnapping, menacing, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She was released on bail.
In the Bronx, Jasmine Barnes is facing charges including assault, unlawful imprisonment, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
Their nanny, 19-year-old Lizbeth Cerrato-Sanchez of Yonkers was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The attorney for Jasmine Barnes' attorney says Jasmine will be innocent of everything they charged against her.
According to DA Cacace, Wayne and Jasmine Barnes are due back in court in Westchester July 29.
Lizbeth Cerrato-Sanchez is due back in court on Aug. 7.
