A Brooklyn teenager is recovering from a bruised eye and bumps to the head she received after getting into a fight with classmates, and it was all caught on video.
In another video of teen violence in the borough, the 15-year-old daughter of Charlene Clarke and Edrewd Eugene can be seen being thrown to the ground while she's getting kicked and having her hair pulled.
The concerned parents say the altercation happened Tuesday in East New York, just a few blocks from Thomas Jefferson High School, where all the girls involved attend.
Clarke says they cannot file a police report because an officer told her that the incident was a school altercation, even though the fight happened in a public area close to the school.
Police tell News 12 that they are aware of their delay in handling the case, and the complaint is now on file and will be investigated.
The Department of Education says the incident did not occur on school grounds. It would not disclose whether any disciplinary action was taken against any of the teens involved.
