A teen was stabbed multiple times on an MTA bus Wednesday.
MTA officials say it happened at around 3 p.m. on a B36 bus. The bus was driving on the B6 route in Flatlands.
The bus was stopped at the corner of Avenue H and 56th Street when the violence broke out.
Police say a 19-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the chest. He was rushed to Beth Israel Medical Center in critical condition.
An MTA spokesperson says the incident happened when the bus was at a stop.
People in the neighborhood say they can't believe this happened in such a quiet area.
Police are investigating what led to the stabbing.
