Tenants at an apartment building in Flatbush say they are living with broken floors, mold, leaks and holes.
Some residents who live in the building on East 21st Street describe their living conditions to News 12.
"I'm not moving anywhere, they're going to fix these problems," said tenant Cheryl Joddard.
"I'm 72 years old and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired," said tenant coordinator Walter McQueen.
"I'm tired, I'm frustrated, I've loved living in my building when it was a building. Now, I just want to get the hell out," said tenant Corinne Mathew.
Mathew has been living in the building for 32 years and says the floors in her kitchen are completely destroyed - and when you look next to her fridge, there's a hole leading to the hallway.
She says the walk to the bathroom as a safety hazard, and that her ceiling has mold and leaks throughout the day.
Mathew said the Department of Housing Preservation and Development recently visited her apartment.
"The young man said 'I'm glad you're home cause you have the longest list of grievances and fines and things that need to be done in your apartment,'" said Mathew.
News 12 reached out to HPD regarding the conditions and is still waiting to hear back.
News 12 reached out to the building management, J Wasser Management, company regarding the conditions and is still waiting to hear back.
