A two-alarm fire was reported in Flatlands Monday night.
CitizenApp video showed the smoke lingering in the air near Avenue J in Brooklyn.
Fire personnel had the fire under control at around 9 p.m.
News 12 spoke with a neighbor who lives two doors down from the house that caught on fire. He says another neighbor knocked on his door and rushed him out–not having time to put on a jacket.
“It was a lot of smoke inside of my house. When I came outside this whole block was smoking. You would’ve thought like a car was on fire or something. Thank God for our neighbors, they came and they knocked on every door to make sure we was alright…I knocked on every door to make sure everybody was alright,” Glen Lewis tells News 12.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
