New York City has welcomed over 100,000 asylum seekers, and the need for donations continues to grow.
The Masbia Soup Kitchen Network has worked to provide resources for the asylum seekers as they arrived.
Recently, the Network opened a pop-up resource tent for migrants in Sunset Park.
Representatives from the Masbia Network say they have collected $10,000 worth of donations in just one week.
A second tent was established under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on Thursday near the center that houses asylum seekers. The center is commonly referred to as "The Hall."
Migrants can now stop by to pick up emergency items as needed for daily use. These items include hygiene products, towels, clothes and fresh fruit.
The Masbia Team says they hope the tents will help asylum seekers feel more welcomed.
