It's time to hit the movies this holiday season, but tickets are up 20%. News 12's consumer reporter Janice Lieberman found some ways you can save.
You can score $5 ticket on Tuesdays if you join AMC Stubs - a membership that allows you to see three movies per week for just $20 a month.
Regal Cinemas has an unlimited offer where movie goers pay $18-$24 monthly, and have access to theaters across the country anytime they want to see a film.
And if memberships aren't your thing, think about setting out for a matinee show - most theaters sell cheaper tickets between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Seniors, students and children are also eligible for discounts.
Sure, it's easier to buy tickets online, but you can save almost $4 for two tickets in convenience fees if you just buy at the theater.
