325ds agoThousands of people attended the Italian Heritage Festival at Kensico Dam on Sunday despite the hot weather.
Temperatures reached 94 degrees as the heat wave continues to hit New York.
Medics with the Westchester EMS say they monitored the crowds for people who may have been experiencing heat exhaustion and offered to move them into the air-conditioned ambulances for relief.
The event featured a celebration of Italian culture as well as water, shaved ice and a lot of shade.
News 12’s Ben Nandy was on the scene with the sights and sounds from the festival.
