James Monroe, Kennedy and Clinton took to the field Tuesday to secure spots in the Public School Athletic League's baseball semifinals.
Top-seed James Monroe battled eighth-seed Lincoln. The Monroe Eagles wasted little time. Carlos George cranked a hit into left field for an RBI single. The Eagles built on the lead, scoring 10 runs in one inning. The Eagles won 18-4.
Kennedy's Chris Vasquez went 2 for 3 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Knights to their 9-2 victory over Norman Thomas. Kennedy will face Monroe Friday, June 1.
Clinton beat Bayside 4-1 to advance. The team will play Tottenville Friday.
