New York City's Board of Elections is offering some tips as residents prepare to head to the polls for Primary Day.
Election officials say that all voters should have their voter registration cards. If they do not have their card, they can also use a poll locator app.
Volunteers will also be on site to provide help to anyone who needs assistance.
The Board of Election says voting machines have been thoroughly checked and that errors with the machines are rare.
Election officials are also urging voters to come during the afternoon to avoid long lines.
Primary Day is Sept. 12. The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.
