A T.J. Maxx location is now closed in Downtown Brooklyn leaving 29 employees jobless.

The company says they made this decision as they approached the end of their lease and they are "always assessing and reviewing our real estate strategies."

According to the Department of Labor, the store closed permanently to the public on Jan. 6.

Brooklyn residents say they're sad to see it go because it's the only one near the neighborhood.
