Today marks two years since New Canaan mother of five Jennifer Dulos went missing.

The disappearance of Dulos and the case against her estranged husband, and his associates have captivated the nation.

A memorial with flowers and the words "Justice for Jennifer," painted on rocks was placed at Waveny Park in the town of New Canaan. 

Family spokesperson Carrie Luft released a statement saying, "On May 18, the Connecticut State Senate passed SB 1091, known informally as "Jennifers' Law," after Jennifer Farber Dulos and Jennifer Magnano, who was murdered by her ex-husband in Connecticut in 2007. The legislation expands the legal definition of domestic violence to include nonviolent coercive control, such as psychological, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse. It is our hope that changing the legal definition can help change the outcomes for people in abusive relationships. Intimate partner violence cuts across the socioeconomic spectrum and affects people of all genders."

Jennifer Dulos was last seen dropping her kids off to school in New Canaan on May 24, 2019.

Investigators presume she's dead despite not having found her body.

Her estranged husband Fotis Dulos was ultimately charged with her murder.

But after the murder charges were brought against him, he died by suicide.

Fotis Dulos' then girlfriend Michelle Troconis and friend and former attorney Kent Mawhinney both are charged with conspiracy to committ murder.

Both are out on bond awaiting trial while being fitted with GPS tracking devices.

Mawhinney was just in court, and Troconis is expected back before a judge tomorrow.

Jennifer's family adds that while her story gained a great deal of attention-- not all domestic violence victims' stories are told.

Saying their hearts are with the survivors and their loved ones.
