Early voting ended on Sunday ahead of Election Day on Tuesday.
At the Sonia Sotomayor Community Center, poll workers said the flow of voters was steady on the last day of
early voting.
Early voting has been happening across the city since Oct. 23. This was the first time New Yorkers could vote early in a mayoral election.
The ballot looked different than the ballot cast back in the June primary. There was no rank choice voting in this election.
Poll workers say having the option to vote early is especially important for the everyday New Yorker.
"It's important to give New Yorkers the option of early voting because everyone's schedule is different," says Kelly Atkinson. "You might not be able to come out on actual election day, so this gives you time."
Early voting locations closed at 4 p.m. Sunday. Those who didn't vote early can still vote on Election Day on Tuesday.
