A 3-year-old girl suffered burns over 70 percent of her body as the result of a fire on Thursday night.
Officials say firefighters rescued the toddler who was trapped in a back bedroom. Fire marshals say the toddler was playing with a lighter when the fire started. The child is the only one who was injured as a result of the fire.
The toddler is under sedation and listed in critical condition at Cornell Hospital?s burn unit.
The girl?s father may be charged for allegedly leaving her home alone.
