Traffic Alert: Leewood Tunnel to close for repairs
The Leewood Tunnel is closed starting today so the county Department of Public Works can make some repairs.

16h agoOfficials have issued a traffic alert if you use the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers and Eastchester.
The Leewood Tunnel is closed starting Friday so the county Department of Public Works can make some repairs.
If you're going south on the parkway, turning left to Leewood Drive is closed. Southbound Bronx River Parkway motorists on Leewood Drive will be detoured south to the Thompson Street exit then to the northbound Bronx River Parkway.
If you're going west on Leewood trying to get on the parkway, that's closed. Westbound Leewood Drive motorists to the Sprain Brook/Bronx River Parkway will be detoured north to Harney Road (Exit 10) then to the southbound Bronx River Parkway.
Eastchester police say repairs are expected to take about a year.
