A tree fell across the Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, halting traffic Thursday, officials say.

The tree fell across Troy and Schenectady avenues.

Repair crews and police temporarily blocked off the road and cleared the tree after about two hours.

The road has since been opened, and no injuries were reported.

Witnesses say they believe the tree was already rotted and fell due to heavy snow that collected on its branches.
