The FDNY says a tree came crashing down on top of a person in Clinton Hill during early trick-or-treating hours. Witnesses tell News 12 a man was riding a Citi Bike when he was struck.

Neighbors say they helped drag the man out from under the tree.

Firefighters were called to 133 Clinton Ave. just before 4 p.m.

The FDNY says EMS took the person to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.

"The whole tree uprooted, so it was pretty loud, and we heard him yell, and we ran over. The neighbors were amazing. They came out with saws trying to get him out. His ear was banged up," said Owen, a witness who saw the scene play out.

Police say the victim was alert and conscious as he was taken to a nearby hospital.

Over on Bainbridge Street, parents and kids were glad their Trick-Or-Street block party happened at all, as flooding conditions had the whole street submerged a day earlier, damaging some of the homes on the street.

Parents say they were keeping their kiddos close, bundled up, and looking up at the trees as the winds shook branches.

"We are trick-or-treating quickly, and going home,: said Emony Rodriguez.

The NYC Parks Department says that as of 6 p.m. Friday, it received 121 reports of downed trees in Brooklyn due to weather conditions. The actual number of trees down is unknown.

“Often, reports are duplicates and should not be referred to as an actual number of trees down,” a spokesperson for the parks department said.

The department says they are continuing to monitor storm impacts through the weekend and ask that tree conditions be reported to 311.
