The trial is now underway for the man accused of killing a Brooklyn mother more than two years ago.
Opening statements began Thursday in the case against Christopher Johnson, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Fatima Gordon.
Authorities say Gordon was walking near her Prospect-Lefferts Gardens home when she was struck on Clarkson Avenue by a stray bullet. It happened back on Aug. 30, 2012.
Gordon's family, including her mother Cynthia Thomas, were at the courthouse in Downtown Brooklyn to face the alleged gunman.
Johnson faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
