One person ended up in the hospital after a car jumped a sidewalk and smashed into a house in Sunset Park.
It happened at around 7 p.m. Sunday on 39th Street, near 5th Avenue.
According to police, the driver of the Ford pickup truck is in custody after he allegedly tried to run away.
Witnesses say a few residents were able to stop the driver and pin him down until officers arrived. They suspect he may have been drinking, and News 12 saw several beer bottles in the floor of his truck.
