A convoy of
trucks took to
Long Island roads this morning.
The group is one of many across the country
protesting vaccine mandates.
The convoy is started at the Ronkonkoma train
station and is heading to upstate Newburgh.
"It's invigorating and it just makes me feel
good. And even when we came two days ago, we were putting up the American
flags. They were beeping ... it’s just very
patriotic and that’s what we stand for, just freedom,” says Wendy Yao, an organizer.
Groups of supporters are expected to be on many
of the overpasses on the Long Island Expressway this morning from Exit 60 all
the way to the city.
