Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is at the top of the polls, according to an ABC and the Washington Post poll.
FOX News says the billionaire is 10 percentage points above his closest competitor, Ben Carson.
But he is getting some backlash after recent comments.
Trump says he saw people cheering during the Sept. 11th terror attacks in New Jersey, but there is no evidence to support that.
Trump, though, remains steadfast in his statements saying he watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down from across Jersey City, New Jersey, and that he saw thousands and thousands of people cheering as that building collapsed.
Trump says he saw the scenes on TV which depicted Muslims in Middle Eastern countries celebrating the attacks.
However, there is no evidence of cheering in Jersey City. New Jersey officials says Trump is wrong.
