The Transportation Security Administration says they stopped a South Carolina woman from boarding a plane with a loaded handgun at LaGuardia on Thursday.
The gun in question was caught in the X-ray machine at one of the checkpoints.
The woman was immediately detained and arrested on a weapons charge.
This was the third gun detected by TSA officers so far this year, which ties the total number of guns seized during 2020.
