Hundreds of Turkish residents gathered in Columbus Park on Sunday to celebrate Turkish Heritage Day.
Residents from New York, Long Island and New Jersey came together to take part in a variety of activities.
The staff of the festival says that Turkish Heritage Day is a way for people to experience Turkish culture through music, food and dance.
Faruk Caboglu, a volunteer of the event, says the festival helps Turkish people to understand their cultural roots.
The staff says they hope to continue the festival for more years to come.
