Gov. Kathy Hochul is responding to News 12's Turn to Tara investigation into human trafficking in the tri-state area.

Senior reporter Tara Rosenblum found that many hotels and motels are not complying with a state law requiring the human trafficking hotline to be posted in public restrooms.

"We'll absolutely be looking into working with local law enforcement and their responsibility to make sure all of the laws of New York State are enforced," Hochul says.

She called for stronger enforcement, saying the signs help people recognize trafficking as it's happening.
