Television icon Andy Griffith has died at 86.
The famous actor was best known for his self-titled show, starring himself, Don Knots and Ron Howard.
Griffith went on to star in movies and the 80s drama "Matlock." He also won a Grammy for singing southern gospel.
Reports say Griffith passed away at his home in Manteo, N.C. this morning.
