A two-alarm fire tore through apartments in a Castle Hill high-rise late Wednesday night.
The FDNY says the fire started on the 20th and 21st floors of 1965 Lafayette Ave. Fire officials said the call came in just before 10 p.m. Crews brought the fire under control a little more than an hour later.
One resident told News 12 the fire began in his bedroom on the 20th floor. He said he lives in a three-bedroom apartment with four roommates who are safe, but he was concerned about his three pets that were missing after the fire.
Officials said one person was hurt but refused medical attention at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
