Two people injured in Cypress Hills crash

Police say a man operating a BMW with a 31-year-old female passenger were travelling west bound on Highland Boulevard when it struck a blue Ford truck hat was parked on the street.

A man and a woman are recovering after the car they were travelling with crashed into a parked vehicle Thursday in Cypress Hills.

The FDNY responded to the crash near Miller Place and Highland Boulevard just before 11:40 p.m.

Police say a man operating a BMW with a 31-year-old female passenger were travelling westbound on Highland Boulevard when it struck a blue Ford truck parked on the street.

The truck was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

FDNY crews had to remove the driver of the BMW and the 31-year-old passenger from the car after the crash.

They were transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital and are expected to be OK.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
