UPDATE: Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy accused of slashing of two teenagers with a box cutter aboard a BX12 bus in the Bronx on March 18. He is being charged with attempted murder for allegedly slashing another 17-year-old boy in the neck and hand, and assault for a slash wound a 17-year-old girl sustained to her hand.

The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday near East Fordham Road and Third Avenue.

Emergency responders took both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they are listed in stable condition.

Police say the two victims know each other but do not know the attacker. The suspect, described as wearing all black and a ski mask, ran away from the area and remains on the loose.

Investigators were seen speaking with one of the victims at a nearby bus stop following the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police as the search continues.
