624ds agoThe Ukrainian flag is now waving above Renaissance Plaza in downtown White Plains.
Local officials joined the Ukrainian American Youth Association Friday afternoon to raise the flag in a demonstration of unity.
Those within the Ukrainian community called it a meaningful statement.
"It's a beautiful sign of support and solidarity for my people and the people of Ukraine," said Roksolana Sikyrymska, who organized the event
With the flag raising, the city of White Plains has officially proclaimed that it stands in solidarity with Ukraine.
