Underhill Avenue remains closed following massive water main break in Soundview

Underhill Avenue in Soundview was closed on Friday evening after a water main break caused major flooding.
Water was shut off for residents in the area due to a pipe bursting on Thursday afternoon.
The Department of Environmental Protection said water was restored at around 1 a.m. Friday. They also plan to examine the broken pipe to determine the cause of the break.
