The local chapter of Utility Workers Union of America approved a contract with Con Ed last night, after a drawn-out battle.
The new four-year collective bargaining agreement comes after the monthlong worker lockout earlier in the summer.
The previous contract expired July 1, but stalled contract talks led to the lockout and subsequent stalemate.
As part of the new agreement, Con Ed cannot change members' defined pension benefit retirement plan for the next 25 years.
