The union representing hundreds of nursing home workers has warned 33 different homes they will strike on May 14 if demands aren't met for better wages, benefits and staffing ratios.
A total of 51 nursing home contracts have expired in Connecticut as of March 15.
The CEO of the state's nursing home industry association is urging the nursing home operators and the union to remain at the bargaining table. His group is seeking more state funding to help the homes.
