Dozens of people came together Saturday for a unique anti-violence display in Brownsville.
It was titled "Photos Against Violence." The participants posed as models in a window display, pretending to be live mannequins, while people stood outside taking photos. The models sported anti-violence shirts and held signs that carried their message.
Borough president Eric Adams came out to pose and show his support. The event organizer says he hopes passersby will interpret the display as a "live image of peace."
Organizers hope to make it an annual event.
