A 1-month-old baby, who was bleeding from her nose and unresponsive, was saved Wednesday by the combined efforts of a Good Samaritan and emergency services personnel.
Rafael Rachamim says he saw the baby's frantic mother, who did not speak English, running down Burnett Street carrying the child. Rachamim says he immediately called 911. The girl was revived by firefighters and EMTs who responded to the call.
Authorities say the 1-month-old was taken to Coney Island Hospital and then transferred to New York University Medical Center in Manhattan. She is in stable condition.
