A block in the borough's DUMBO section was transported back in time 50 years to serve as a filming location for Steven Spielberg's latest movie.

According to the Internet Movie Database, the currently untitled Cold War film will star Tom Hanks and is based on a true story revolving around the U.S. attempting to free a pilot shot down and held by the Soviet Union in the '60s.

Over the past few days, crews have been building shops and putting up signs and advertisements along Anchorage Place that are appropriate to the era. They have also parked many vintage cars along the street.

Filming on Anchorage Place is expected to wrap up Monday. The movie is due in theaters next year.
