Unvaccinated state employees will no longer be required to take COVID-19 tests, as New York state is dropping the requirement for its workers -one of the few pandemic restrictions still in place.
Unvaccinated teachers will have to wait a bit longer.
The state Health Department is extending the requirement for educators until the end of the month.
It also plans on ending weekly screening for students.
Schools will still be required to report positive cases to the state.
