Technology startup companies from around the nation and world are getting advice and mentoring through a program called Urban-X in Greenpoint.
Urban-X invests in early-stage technology companies who are re-imagining how cities can be run.
The startups are working to innovate in sectors such as transportation, real estate, local government, local services and utilities.
On Thursday, nine companies demoed their innovations for leaders in both the public and private sector.
People involved with the program said they appreciated the support provided by Urban-X.
