City health officials and first lady Chirlane McCray toured a vaccine site in Bushwick to talk about not just the importance of getting vaccinated but also addressing mental health.
Alberto Delmonte is a mental health amplifier - who stays at vaccine sites and has dozens of hard conversations about what people have gone through with the virus and vaccine-related stress.
"There's so much anxiety here because the vaccine is so new, so you do see anxiety and hesitation, but having professionals on site I think is crucial," said Delmonte.
Different musicians also come and perform several times a week while people wait.
It is part of a program called Music Heals, arranged by the mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment to keep musicians employed and the vaccination experience more pleasant.
