The popular Vans clothing and sneaker company now has its own free, indoor skate park in Bushwick.
The park is the first cement park in the borough.
It has been open for three weeks now and is a space for skaters to go year-round, even in the cold winter months.
Skaters can bring their own skateboards or use equipment provided by the facility.
The skate park is free Thursdays through Sundays and allows up to 50 skaters in the space at a time after RSVPing for one of the park's daily sessions.
"This park is very similar to one that you would see out in the streets,” says David Filchak, manager of the park.. “We have it here for the skaters in New York for those colder months where the weather outside can be unbearable."
