Among the hundreds of different Caribbean-themed foods available at the West Indian Day Parade, one vendor is taking a classic American snack and putting a Caribbean spin on it.
Kelvin Alexis, of Arm Nuts, specializes in making jerk boiled and curry boiled peanuts.
Alexis says what makes his peanuts so unique is that he buys them fresh from the farmers and boils them right on site.
Arm Nuts offers a variety of flavors including garlic ginger, barbecue, cayenne pepper, teriyaki, pineapple and jerk spice.
They have about eight varieties total and say that jerk is their most popular.
