Pets and their owners gathered outside of Bond Vet clinic in Cobble Hill for a painting event with a twist.

Pet illustrator Andrea Caceres tells News 12 participating is easy, saying in part, “It's not hard for me. I'm a pet lover, I own two dogs and I've been doing it for a while.”

Attendees say the event served as a chance to enjoy fresh air and meet more pet owners.

"We're always looking for dog-friendly events to go to especially in Brooklyn since we do live in the area,” says one pet owner.

Veterinarian Dr. Gabrielle Fadl hopes to be a positive presence in the neighborhood.

"We want people to know that we're here and they can bring their pets to us,” says Dr. Fadl. ”Feel like they're bringing their best friends to their best friends to be treated, and getting the best medical care possible."

Along with the Brooklyn location, Bond Vet has six other locations in Manhattan and one in Garden City on Long Island.
