A young, expectant father is dead after being gunned down in Coney Island.
According to police, Victor Lozado was shot in the torso when gunfire erupted outside of 2940 West 21st St. at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, right across the street from where he lived.
The 22-year-old was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, but pronounced dead on arrival.
Friends say that Lozado was very involved in the community and was expecting his first child, a baby girl, next month.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
