Video posted over the weekend appears to show a group of NYPD officers arresting a young man in a Flatbush Target, punching him as they try to subdue him.
The incident occurred at the Target store on Flatbush and Nostrand avenues at around 8 p.m. Saturday.
The video begins with the suspect already on the floor being punched. A worker from a nearby store claims the suspect may have hit an officer while being arrested, but authorities have not commented on what led to the incident.
Police say the suspect was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.
Target released a statement regarding the altercation that says, "We take the safety and security of our guests, team members and property very seriously. Following concerning behavior by one of our guests, the team contacted law enforcement."
Police say the incident is under internal review.
