New video obtained by News 12 shows the moments before and after gunshots erupted on Chauncey Street and Malcolm X Boulevard in Bed-Stuy - and sent some people scrambling for safety.
Residents say they thought the multiple shots fired Tuesday night were actually fireworks.
Police were called to the scene just after 7 p.m.
They say a 15-year-old boy was shot in his left ankle and a 38-year-old woman was grazed in her chest.
It happened on the same block of a mural dedicated to two other victims of gun violence who died in the same area.
Evidence of the bullets still can be seen on parked cars in the area.
Both victims are expected to be OK.
