A somber crowd of mourners from across the borough joined NYPD officers in Cypress Hills last night to remember fallen officer Peter Figoski.
The group lit candles and released balloons for the 47-year-old father of four, who was shot and killed while on duty in the neighborhood on Monday. Those who attended the vigil say they'll continue to stand in solidarity against senseless gun violence.
The wake for Figoski is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. and from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home in his hometown of West Babylon, Long Island.
