A group of volunteers is working to keep the infrastructure of parks across the Bronx safe and beautiful.
The strip along the Bronx River in Olinville will soon be lined with dozens of new trees all in an effort to be greener.
Volunteers from the Bronx River Alliance are hard at work making sure the shrubs have a new home.  It's all part of a plan to protect the area along the Bronx River.
Volunteers say planting the trees will help keep the grounds stable and protect the area from pollution.
Volunteers say the trees will also help beautify the park and that’s something they want people to appreciate.
